January Wind

…suck. Jogged a little bit of a longer route in a faster pace with Sam this morning. Good run altogether. The wind was strong but we pushed through. On these days, I look forward to end of spring runs with the little guy. Runs where the pavement is dry and the in-between spring and summer smell is in the mild breeze. Heaven.

Energy. Feel like going for a swim right about now.

Awesome.

What was supposed to be a 2.5k jog with Sam turned out to be a 5k in the end. The run was pretty good despite the rain. He ran pretty much behind or beside me the whole entire route and he didn’t mind the rain one bit. Then I came home only to find out that…..fack….I dropped my phone!! Where?? I had no idea. The one thing that I could count on was that the streets were bare and that finding the phone was not impossible but the chances of salvaging it dwindled as time passed. I dropped the dog off and ran the route for a second time. Found it!! Does it work? Hell yeah. Awesome.

2012…a quickie note

This is going to be pretty straight forward. This will be my third year in attempting to run the 42. The past years have been, obviously, failures as I reverted back to the half a couple of weeks before the races due to the lack of training and readiness. Two months ago, we picked up a puppy (Sam) and in the past month, I’ve been slowly training him to properly run with me. He’ll be my partner in crime in this training process, next to Chris, the hubby (of course).

Here’s to 2012 running! A blessed year to you and yours!

How’s that for a first post? Already looking forward to running with all of you in the new year…which is in about 3.5 hours. Let’s do this!!!!
